Animal Spotlight
Lemurs native environment is Madagascar Africa. This is the only native home of the ring-tailed lemurs. Lemurs live in groups of 3-25 and the females are the dominant of the group. They are the size of average house cat and weigh 6-7 lbs. Their diet consists of fruits, leaves, and small insects. The Zoo cares for two lemurs Mango and Kiwi, their favorite fruits are bananas and grapes. Adopt a lemur and help us provide treats and new toys for the animals.

The Lubbock Zoo would like to invite you to become an active part of the lives of our animals. An adoption package of only $25 a year helps maintain animal habitats and purchase special treats and new toys. Your adoption package includes:
- Autographed photo of the animal
- Fact sheet about the animal
- Invitation to the next "Adoption Day"

The adoption package is not only a great gift idea, but it is also a way to teach children about the importance of animal care. Follow these steps to purchase an adoption package for yourself, children, organization, school, or loved one.
